The increase in migrant arrests throughout Swanton Sector Swanton Sector continues with back-to-back record-breaking weekly figures in April. The region that is located near bordering the U.S.-Canada boundary continues see record-breaking apprehensions of migrants every month.
The week before, Swanton Sector Chief Patrol Agent Robert Garcia reported his agents have arrested 492 immigrants over the course of the week from April 28-May 4. This record-breaking number of arrests was more than the total number of people being held in the area that includes the eastern part of New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire during the entire Fiscal year 2021, the year that President Joe Biden began his presidency.
Garcia stated that the previous record for weekly attendance was set just a week earlier at the time Swanton Sector agents arrested 220 people during the week of 22 April.
In an informal Border Patrol report reviewed by Breitbart Texas, during the month of April, Border Patrol agents within Swanton Sector Swanton Sector apprehended nearly 1,500 migrants, which is more than twice the arrest of just 676 migrants in April 2023. The year-to-date figures for Swanton are over 6,600 migrants which is up by nearly 100 percent from the previous year.
