Biden ripped for leaving Medal of Honor ceremony early: ‘ABHORRENT’

Social media users were in a frenzy after the video showed the President Biden leaving the White House Medal of Honor ceremony earlier than the prayer of closing.

People were accused by Biden as not having “bolted out of the room” and not respecting an U.S. military veteran receiving the highest honor in the military of the country.

The incident happened on Tuesday, just moments after Biden presented the medal to the former U.S. Army Captain Larry Taylor.

Taylor, 81years old, was awarded the award for his heroic actions in his time in the Vietnam War. In 1968, then 1st Lieutenant. Taylor flew his helicopter in danger to save four of his fellow soldiers who were in the midst of the enemy and faced with the possibility of death.

In describing his actions during his participation in the event, Biden declared, “It was pitch black. No moon. No stars. No light beyond the glow of Lieutenant Taylor’s cockpit control, when he heard a whisper coming through his radio, ‘We’re surrounded.’ Lieutenant Taylor knew the risks, but he was ready.”

At the conclusion of the ceremony Biden put the medal on Taylor’s neck. instead of waiting for the audience to stop applauding, and the MC read the prayer of closure then he walked through the aisle, and then was seen leaving the ceremony.

The benediction was read while Taylor stood on stage by himself. A person in the crowd seemed to be directing Taylor to stand up on stage despite the president having gone.

Videos from the earlier Medal of Honor awards ceremonies in 2021 and 2022 demonstrated that Biden was on stage with previous recipients of medals when the closing prayer was read.

In official video clips from both seasons, Biden only left after the event had ended as well as when the White House band began playing.

Users of X which was previously called Twitter have pointed out the sudden departure.

“Joe Biden just BOLTED out of the room immediately after awarding the Medal of Honor to Army Captain Larry Taylor. The ceremony continued on for several minutes afterwards. Biden completely missed a concluding prayer,” Townhall.com reported.

The Young Americans in Liberty’s report stated, “A very confused President Biden walks out in the middle of Medal of Honor ceremony before the benediction.”

Conservative Influencer Graham Allen posted, “Biden just DITCHED the closing prayer of the Medal of Honor ceremony… Absolutely ABHORRENT.”

RedState.com writer Bonchie asked “What in the world is going on here? Biden just walks out in the middle of a Medal of Honor ceremony as people applaud. Did he think he was at the State of the Union?”

“BREAKING: Biden bizarrely walks out of ceremony honoring veterans at the White House before it concludes. It’s clear he’s suffering from cognitive decline but Blue MAGA refuses to see it. They’re conditioned to defend their leader & party no matter what,” podcaster Ryan Knight wrote.

“He wasn’t supposed to leave yet. In East Room ceremonies they always ask people to remain in their seats while the president exits when the ceremony is finished. More mental confusion,” Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen stated.

The White House did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request to comment.
